Why You Need a Doula

Statistics show that having a doula at your birth can lead to better outcomes for mom and baby. As a doula, we provide evidence based education while supporting you physically and emotionally. We don’t make decisions for you or on your behalf, but we provide you with information needed for you to make a decision that best fits your family. From inductions of labor, or breast and bottle feeding- my goal is for you to have all of the information you need to make the best choice for you and your baby.
SERVICES
200 and Counting
Phelicia has attended nearly 200 births and supported twice as many families in a postpartum and/or clinical setting. She strives to bridge the gap between care providers and families giving birth by providing compassionate, client-centered support to families of all dynamics and backgrounds. Her goal is for you to feel empowered and included in the decision making processes as you enter a new season of life.
Having spent six years as a military spouse, Phelicia understands the unique challenges that military families face as they expand their families great distances from their support networks.
Insurance Coverage
At this time, Phelicia is not considered an in-network provider with any insurances. If you are planning to utilize insurance benefits, fees will be due up front and a superbill will be provided for you to seek reimbursement. Reimbursement is plan specific and not guaranteed.
For Carrot Fertility members, simply send the attestation form via email. Phelicia has worked with many families utilizing Carrot benefits and can guide you on how to submit for reimbursement.
